Global AREP (Academic Radiology Education Program) is a group of radiologists and radiology trainees who want to make differences in radiology education. We would like to quote mother Teresa ‘s insight “We must know that we have been created for greater things, not just to be a number in the world, not just to go for diplomas and degrees”. We all are here to make the differences.
We are a small group of radiologists and radiologists to be from several countries (Bhutan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Iraq, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand and Vietnam) work together like a family harmoniously.
Our program AREP was first created in October 2021, and we started the live program in 2022. We are going into our 3rd year (2024).
Initial intention of this program was to assist radiology colleagues who have difficulties in accessing the high-quality radiology education due to financial constrain, however later we found out that not only our target audiences received the benefits, but also non-target colleagues enjoyed our webinars. This is such a rewarding experience to us all.
We are non-profit and have not received an external funding. Our committees, moderators and speakers dedicate themselves to work tirelessly for the program. We have to say thank you all so very much.
